Strawberry Shortcake

Everyone has their favorite version of strawberry shortcake.  I have had it with Angel Food cake, on sliced pound cake, on scones, on those funny yellow round sponge cakes.  But Grammy usually made it with drop biscuits, and I think they are the perfect partner for sweet strawberries and cream.

Grammy's Strawberry Shortcake - adapted from Bisquick

1.5 c Heart Smart Bisquick

1/2 c milk

butter

sliced strawberries

whipped cream

Mix Bisquick and milk.  Butter your hands and make 4 drop biscuits.  Bake at 450 for 7-9 minutes.  Top with sliced strawberries (lightly sugared if they're not in season) and whipped cream.  Ours is typically out of a can.
